Dr. Claire H. Baker is a native of Gordon, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Lincoln, Nebraska in 1994, and her Doctor of Medicine degree with high distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska in 1998.

In 2001 Dr. Baker completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. In 2004 she completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

After finishing her fellowship, Dr. Baker first worked at Internal Medicine Associates in Omaha, Nebraska and then founded Diabetes and Endocrine Associates with Dr. Timothy Wahl in October 2005. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism.

Dr. Baker is the Medical Director of the Diabetes Center at Methodist Hospital. She also serves as an Assistant Medical Director for the Diabetes Education Center of the Midlands.

Dr. Baker is married and has 3 children. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, traveling, and reading.
